Who We Are
Salvation is the singlemost important consideration of our entire lives, and a primary focus of our existence as a church. The Good News regarding Jesus Christ, and salvation from sin is the message of all of Scripture:
Eccl. 7:29 - God created man a holy creature, but man chose many schemes disobedient to God.
-- Good news is preceded by bad news: Though God created man without sin, man rebelled and presently lies under the sway of sin.
Lev. 11: 44 - God requires we be as holy as He is.
-- God's moral standard is not "good" or even "great" but absolute moral perfection.
Heb. 1:3 - Christ, being very God, purged our sins on the cross.
-- We could never meet God's standard. We needed a substitute: Christ.
II Cor 5: 21 - God made Christ to be sin for us, that we might be made the very righteousness of God, in Christ.
-- This is the "Great Exchange" - our sin placed on Christ, Christ's perfect sinless holiness given to us. God looks at us, but sees Christ. He can make us as holy as Himself, through Jesus.
Mark 1:15 - The time to repent and believe this Good News (Gospel) is right now.
-- The ONLY thing God requires of us is that we without reservation believe His good news, and the necessity and sufficiency of Christ's payment for our sin (repentance.)
As much as a wesbite can, this sumamrizes the "Gospel." If we can further explain this Good News to you, we welcome you to contact us. Remember - the time to believe is NOW !
